Viruses are often not considered as living beings, but rather as “matter” carrying genetic information. This “matter” can propagate itself by exploiting the host’s existing functions through a series of information exchanges. It acts like a rebel from an ancient culture, using and reinterpreting existing cultural symbols to construct its own narrative. In our installation, a virus-like robot controlled by an artificial neural network is driven by hunger and must constantly search for food in a simulated environment. In our short film, we follow a phoenix that looks like a dinosaur. It will travel through space-time dimensions on different scales, from the macroscopic to the microscopic, and will also enter the dream of a Homo sapiens, recounting the paradoxical situations of life.
