Language is a visible organic material. When detached from any emitting agency, this substance has the particularity of being transparent and being traversable. The language material is deployed in its own milieu and on its own scale, in a coming and going between different states: that of a magma or that of crystallisation with solid and hollow forms. In the course of this process, the fluid material lets out a prosody, which is constantly seeking to manifest, to pull free and define itself. The idea is to listen to this attempt at formulation. In order to have a tangible experience of language, we must also use an artificial intelligence that puts to work the parameters of the speaking or singing human voice, generating a prosody based on vocal recordings. The inexpressible part of language resonates here with plasticity – of the aural and the visual – like a performative movement that traverses the filmic object.
